Internalization of Khidmah Ethics Among Participants of the Haul Sekumpul Commemoration in Tunggulirang Sebrang Village, Martapura
A Social Service Theory Perspective

The moral crisis affecting today's generation has become a serious issue, characterized by the weakening of moral character, the erosion of social values, and the marginalization of local and religious values by instant and individualistic culture. This research aims to explore how the practice of khidmah in the context of the haul of Abah Guru Sekumpul serves as a space for the formation of moral and spiritual values that persist amidst the strong currents of globalization. The method used is a phenomenological approach based on social service theory. Data collection was conducted through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of participants and organizers of the haul event. The research results show that through the khidmah experience, participants undergo an internalization process of values such as respect for teachers, social concern, humility, sincerity, and love for others. These values have shaped individual piety, strengthened collective awareness, and reinforced the religious-cultural identity of the community.
